E Type FHC

Originally a California car, this strong running and driving 1962 E Type only needs some light cosmetics to make a great car. I hesitate to say that any unrestored E Type is completely rust free, although this particular car is certainly one of the most solid examples you are ever likely to find. There are various dings and scratches that are going to need attention, although absolutely no apparent rust repairs. The seats have been nicely re-trimmed in hide, although the interior has some non-original vinyl panels that most people would probably want to return to a more original look.
The engine number does not match the data plate, although it is a correct, early 3.8 E Type engine. Receipts with the car show that it was apparently rebuilt at 78,000 miles, with the current mileage showing 94,000. The engine runs strong, sounds great, does not overheat or smoke and does not have any dripping oil leaks. The transmission shifts smoothly with no apparent problems. All the glass is in good condition, as is the chrome and brightwork throughout the car.
This is an extremely rare find. A super solid, strong running and driving S1 E Type that genuinely needs only light cosmetic work to make a great car.
