1977 XJ6C Truly excellent example of very rare Jaguar coupe

This is an exceptionally nice example of a very rare and desirable Jaguar. Although we cannot verify the mileage of 27,919 as being original, we suspect that it very well may be. The original carpets in both front footwells are in remarkably good condition - a classic indicator of low miles.

New hide seat covers have been installed front and rear at some time in the past, and remain in excellent condition. In fact, the front and rear passenger seats look as if they have never been sat in. The headliner has been professionaly replaced, as have all the major rubber seals. The dash is in superb condition, including the burr walnut fascias, which are virtually perfect.

The car is currently fitted with Dayton wire wheels and Yokohama radials, with less than 200 miles on them. The original factory steel wheels are included in the sale. Needless to say, both wheels and tires are in excellent condition.

This truly exceptional XJ coupe is completely rust free - and always has been. It received a bare metal repaint a few years ago and although the paintwork was not of the very best quality, it still shows reasonably well. There are a couple of areas on the bonnet where the paint is bubbling as a result of engine bay heat. Despite this, the overall appearance and condition of the car is truly excellent.

Following a couple of years of inactivity, this car is currently receiving a major service in the Classic Jaguar service. We are flushing out the fuel tanks and rebuilding the carbs, replacing a defective window switch, flushing and replacing the coolant and brake fluid, and changing all other fluids. The air conditioning system has been upgraded to Series III XJ specifications and works perfectly.

You could search for many years and not find a better example of this ultra stylish Jaguar coupe.

Although we are representing this car as being in excellent running and driving condition, please keep in mind that it is now 33 years old. Accordingly, therefore, it is being sold as is, where is, with no warranty of any kind being offered.
