1969 E Type roadster (DW) Mechanical rebuild

Specification (briefly) for this project is as follows: This E Type has been under restoration by a private individual for almost 10 years. Our task is to jump start the process by rebuilding the car's major mechanical components and getting her back on the road.

Lots of progress in the CJ machine shop...

Final sizing of the cylinders using custom CJ torque plate	Testing straightness of cam saddles	Shrapnel damage on deck surface of head
Measuring tappet guides	Heating head for guide install	Pressure testing head

The following photos show the removal of the old sleeves, surfacing the block after installing the new sleeves, roughing in the cylinder size and align honing the main caps. Final sizing of the cylinders will be done using a CJ torque plate.

I am pleased to report that we already have this project underway. First task up, a full engine rebuild...
