As the world leader in performance and reliability upgrades for the E Type Jaguar, it should come as no surprise that Classic Jaguar is also the home of the ultimate E Type and XK five speed conversion - the CJ5.

When we set about designing and manufacturing our CJ5 five speed we set ourselves some ambitious goals. We sent our engineers back to their drawing boards with a clean sheet of paper and told them that our only fixed paramaters were the dimensional characteristics of the various OEM Jaguar four speeds and the fact that we wanted to use the excellent, smooth shifting World Class (WC) Tremec T5 as the base platform.

The CJ5 is not a modified WC T5. Every component is brand new, from the main shaft to the tailhousing. CJ5 mainshafts, input shafts and all other critical components are made in ISO 9000 certified facilites. Please also note that the CJ5 uses a stock (OEM) Jaguar clutch pressure plate, clutch disc and throw-out bearing (including the V12 model), clutch slave cylinder (including the V12 model) and crankshaft pilot bushing.

The CJ5 for SWB 6 cyl E Types is precisely the same length as your old 4 speed transmission, so there is no need for you to fabricate or modify your own driveshaft as our competitors would have you do. Owners of V12 E Types and the various XK models will receive a brand new driveshaft as part of their CJ5 kit.
