Monterey Historics
Laguna Seca Raceway
August, 2001

The Monterey Historic race meeting at Laguna Seca in August was a truly spectacular event. I was thrilled to be in attendance and frankly in awe of the magnificent racing machinery that made the trip to this fabulous venue in Northern California.

The featured marque for 2001 was Bentley and the venerable British car manufacturer could not have been better represented - there were Bentleys of almost every vintage, almost everywhere one looked.

I must admit to being a little disappointed that there was only one E Type in attendance, the beautifully presented 66 FHC driven by Jason Len of XKs Unlimited. Laguna Seca made a big impression on me - perhaps there will be a second E Type in the paddock next year!
