The following photographs were taken from a diary kept by Charlie and Chuck Goolsbee during their recent participation in the New England 2000 Rally. A full account with many more superb photographs (and some hillariously written narrative) can be found on Chuck's website at: www.goolsbee.org

The 1965 E Type driven by the Goolsbees is affectionately known by the crew at CJ as The Old War Horse. The car has been extensively rallied since we built it a few years ago and has visited more than its fair share of states across America.

It has had various panels repainted following a couple of incidents, engine frames replaced following some careless treatment at the hands of a haulage company, two gearboxes, three clutches, a burnt out harness, three alternators, two windscreens, etc, etc, etc. The bottom line is that Charlie drives the nuts off this car - and we love him and the car for it!

a British car.

Dad dons a plastic bag over his hat.
Why? I haven't a clue. Maybe he's 'losing it' as he ages. You be the judge.........

Charlie (above) and Chuck (below) have some serious fun!
